Tucson's human flag honored 9/11 victims

After the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, some 8,000 Tucsonans dressed in red, white or blue, gathered at Tucson Electric Park and formed a giant U.S. flag. A photograph of the human flag was sent to rescue workers in New York City as a show of solidarity and support.
