Simon Planting of the John Jorgenson Quintet performs at the debut of the Oasis Project, a program to blend arts with the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum's conservation mission.
Jorgenson, on guitar, is noted for his gypsy jazz style of music. The show kicked off a performing and visual arts collaboration with the Desert Museum. The next show, featuring Beth Nielsen Chapman, is Nov. 15-16.
