Another bighorn sheep has died in the Catalina Mountains — the 10th bighorn fatality since 31 sheep were released in the range last November, state wildlife officials confirmed Monday.

A herd of more than 100 bighorn sheep once roamed the Catalina Mountains, and animals were often seen in the vicinity of Pusch Ridge on the western edge of the range. The herd died out about a decade ago. Transplanted animals could replace it.
