A man trying to break up a fight between two friends was stabbed Friday at an apartment complex on the north side.
At about 4 p.m., police responded to a report of a stabbing at Rillito Village Apartments, 3700 N. First Ave., said Sgt. Pete Dugan, a Tucson Police Department spokesman.
The victim was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Dugan said.
A man and woman began fighting, and the victim, who was a friend and tried to intervene, was stabbed by the man, Dugan said. The man then left the apartment.
The investigation is continuing.
The husband was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder and jailed.
