WASHINGTON - Air Force Lt. Col. Charles M. Walling was flying his F-4C over Vietnam 46 years ago when he disappeared over Song Be Province, leaving behind a pregnant wife and a 22-month-old son.

I was ashamed I kept quiet. I didn't say a word about my brothers. Parker was holding forth in front of his locker about the Vietnam War when he snarled, "They don't belong there. Those soldiers are just murdering people. They kill babies."
