The Estancia Club

Probably the prettiest course in Arizona for its views and the spectacular way that Tom Fazio laid it out around Pinnacle Peak, a Scottsdale landmark.

Pinetop Country Club

A personal favorite because that's where I learned to play golf. My late mother, brother, sister and I used to have the first tee time every weekday during our summers up there.

Tucson Country Club

A serene, spiritual place, right on the river and looking up at the Catalinas. In college, I used to practice alongside Annika Sorenstam, who was there every day, pretty much from sunup to sundown. She liked that place, too.

Forest Highlands

Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish created an incredible course in Flagstaff. What scenery: views, streams, towering trees, the pine smell. It's fantastic!

Desert Forest

In Carefree, it's the original desert golf course in Arizona. It's like they didn't alter a single piece of the natural landscape when they built it. It flows with the land. It's beautiful - and tight and really challenging.

- Ted Purdy, a Phoenix native and PGA tour player.
