Ajo Mountain Drive

Both saguaros and organ pipe cacti grow along this loop road in Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument on the U.S.-Mexico border.

Monument Valley

The valley's flaming red rocks are famous the world over. Located on the Navajo Reservation.


Perched on Arizona's highest peak - Humphreys - in the Coconino National Forest near Flagstaff.

Cape Royal

On the North Rim, Grand Canyon National Park. A single glance takes in the green ribbon of the Colorado River a vertical mile below, the snow-capped San Francisco Peaks jutting into the sky near Flagstaff, and eons of rock in shades of pink and purple.

Grotto Hill

An easy walk up Grotto Hill, just east of Mission San Xavier del Bac, affords views of the church and the mountain ranges around Tucson.
