The 11th-ranked UA baseball team thumped Hartford 25-3 at Hi Corbett Field on Saturday, the most runs the team has scored in 11 years. Arizona sent 18 batters to the plate and scored 14 runs in the fifth inning. Alfonso Rivals finished 4 for 4 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Kyle Lewis added three hits.

The 25 runs are the most since the UA scored 29 against Washington State in 2006. The Wildcats (12-2) have outscored Hartford 46-8 over the last two games; the teams will play again at 1 p.m. Sunday.
