The University of Arizona baseball team continues to struggle against teams from Oregon.
After being swept at home by Oregon State last weekend, the Wildcats dropped their fourth straight game, falling 2-1 to host Oregon on Friday night in Eugene.
UA (15-9, 0-4) scratched out just six hits against the No. 12-ranked Ducks. The Wildcats scored their only run in the sixth inning when Riley Moore scored on a double-play grounder hit by Trent Gilbert.
Oregon (16-6, 3-1) scored the eventual winning run in the bottom of the sixth when Tyler Baumgartner hit a ground-rule double to score Ryon Healey.
The Ducks opened the scoring in the fifth, when Shaun Chase scored on Brett Thomas' RBI groundout to put Oregon up 1-0.
Jake Reed (3-3) picked up the win for the Ducks, allowing one run on six hits in six innings.
Konner Wade (2-2) took the loss. He gave up two runs on five hits in 6 2/3 innings.
Moore and Jordan Berger each had two hits for UA.
The teams meet again at 2 p.m. today, then wrap up the three-game set with a contest at noon Sunday.
Arizona's next Pac-12 home series begins Thursday with a 6 p.m. game against Utah at Hi Corbett Field.
