Scott Kingery scored from third base Saturday night when Alabama State second baseman Einar Muniz dropped a popup that would have been the third out of the 10th inning, and Arizona won 4-3 at Hi Corbett Field.

Kingery led off with a single to left. Johnny Field bunted Kingery to second, and he took third on a Trent Gilbert ground out to first.

After Brandon Dixon was intentionally walked, Kevin Newman popped up to Muniz, who was charged with an error.

Arizona scored twice to tie the game at 3 in the eighth. Field drove in the first run, and Gilbert drove in the tying run, both with singles to left.

Arizona starter James Farris went eight innings, allowing six hits, no walks and three runs. Mathew Troupe (4-0) pitched the ninth and 10th innings. He allowed two hits and no walks.

Alabama State took a 1-0 lead in the third without a hit. The Hornets used a hit by pitch, a stolen base and two ground outs.

Arizona tied it in the fourth. Field led off with a single. One out later, Field advanced to second on an error, then scored on a Dixon single to left.
