The Arizona Wildcats trailed 7-4 at Washington State when Friday night's baseball game was suspended by rain in the eighth inning.

The game will resume today at noon and will be followed by a second game, 30-45 minutes later.

Arizona (21-11, 6-6 Pac-12) fell behind 4-0 in the second inning but scored two in the third on Johnny Field's two-run homer.

Arizona starter Konner Wade pitched all seven innings but is sure to be replaced in the eighth.

Trent Gilbert, who extended his hitting streak to nine games in the first inning, will lead off when play resumes.
