No. 1 Arizona (38-17)

• Location: Tucson

• Conference finish: Won a share of the Pac-12 regular season championship with an 8-7, walk-off victory against Arizona State on Sunday.

• Player to watch: Ace Kurt Heyer is 11-2 with a 2.03 ERA this season.

• In the pros: The UA has produced 69 major leaguers, including San Diego Padres catcher Nick Hundley and Cleveland Indians outfielder and Tucson native Shelley Duncan.

No. 2 New Mexico State (35-22)

• Location: Las Cruces, N.M.

• Conference finish: Louisiana Tech eliminated the top-seeded Aggies from the Western Athletic Conference tournament Friday.

• Player to watch: Junior Zac Fisher leads the WAC with a .363 batting average and 81 hits, and is tied for sixth with 33 walks.

• In the pros: NMSU has produced two big-leaguers. Pitcher Mark Acre made 114 appearances for Oakland from 1994-97.

No. 3 Louisville (39-20)

• Location: Louisville, Ky.

• Conference finish: Was eliminated from the Big East tournament by South Florida on Friday.

• Player to watch: Right-hander Justin Amlung is 8-4 with a team-best 2.36 ERA.

• In the pros: Four big-leaguers, including former Seattle Mariners reliever Sean Green, started their careers at Louisville.

No. 4 Missouri (32-26)

• Location: Columbia, Mo.

• Conference finish: Beat Oklahoma on Sunday to win its first Big 12 title. The Tigers move to the SEC next season.

• Player to watch: Right fielder Dane Opel leads the Tigers in home runs (11), RBIs (45) and slugging (.544).

• In the pros: Mizzou has produced 37 big-leaguers, including Texas Rangers second baseman and Tucson native Ian Kinsler - he transferred there from ASU - and Detroit Tigers pitcher Max Scherzer.
