Trent Gilbert drove in five runs Friday night as the Arizona Wildcats battered Pac-12 baseball foe Utah 15-4 at Hi Corbett Field.

The victory was the second in two nights for the UA (17-11, 2-6 Pac-12) over the Utes (12-12, 2-6).

The Cats led 1-0 until the bottom of the third inning when Gilbert's two-run double and Riley Moore's two-run triple highlighted a five-run outburst.

Arizona broke the game open in the bottom of the fifth with seven runs. Gilbert drove in three with a bases-loaded triple. The sophomore second baseman also scored three runs.

The Wildcat hitters were clutch all night. Seven of Arizona's runs scored with two out.

Freshman Tyger Talley, who worked two perfect innings after starter James Farris was lifted with no one out in the fifth, got the win. Nick Cunningham allowed one run over the final three innings for the save.

The Wildcats, swept in their first two Pac-12 series this spring, go for a sweep of their own today. Lefthander Tyler Crawford will get the start in the noon game at Hi Corbett.
