Bob Wheatley allowed just two hits in seven innings as USC beat Arizona 2-0 in Los Angeles on Saturday night to complete a three-game sweep.

The Cats, who got singles from Zach Gibbons and Kevin Newman for their only hits, also were shut out in the opener, 1-0 on Thursday night.

USC scored its only two runs in the seventh inning to snap the scoreless tie.

The Wildcats (17-23, 6-12) host Arizona State for a three-game set starting at 7 p.m. Friday.
