A five-run 10th inning helped the Arizona Wildcats baseball team defeat Utah 6-1 in Salt Lake City on Saturday afternoon.

Cody Ramer put Arizona (13-19, 3-8 Pac-12) ahead 2-1 by ripping a run-scoring double in the 10th. Kenny Meimerstorf later drove in a pair of runs with a double, and Riley Moore added a two-run single.

UA starter Cody Hamlin limited the Utes (10-18, 1-10) to five hits in 8º innings.

A great defensive play by the Wildcats kept the game from ending in the ninth. With one out in the bottom of the inning and T.J. Bennett on second, Wyler Smith lined a single to right, and Bennett charged home with the potential winning run. Meimerstorf fielded the ball on a hop and fired home. Moore caught the throw up the first-base line and dived back to the plate to tag out Bennett.
