Tucson first baseman Cody Decker blasted a three-run homer in the sixth inning Monday as the Padres beat the Reno Aces 4-2 in Reno.
Tucson scored all its runs in the sixth, the other coming on an RBI by Gregorio Petit, who played both third base and shortstop. Tucson recorded eight hits, but Decker was the only Padre with more than one. His home run was his 10th of the year.
Right-hander Sean O'Sullivan got the victory, improving his record to 7-4. He pitched 7 2/3 innings, giving up six hits and walking one while striking out seven.
Kevin Quackenbush got the save, his first of the year, coming on in the ninth inning and striking out two. Colt Hynes finished off the eighth in relief of O'Sullivan.
Reno opened the scoring in the second with a run and added another in the fifth.
