Three Tucson Padres relievers held Sacramento hitless in the final two innings after starter Matt Andriese limited the host River Cats to one hit for a 2-0 victory Wednesday night.

Andriese (1-0) struck out eight and walked two in seven innings. He gave up a double to Daric Barton in the sixth inning.

Tucson relievers Tommy Layne, Brad Boxberger and Miles Mikolas, who picked up his 18th save, went the rest of the way, combining for one strikeout and three walks.

The Padres took a 1-0 lead with two out in the second inning when Jaff Decker singled home Cody Decker who had reached base on a single.

Tucson added another run in the eighth when Chris Robinson scored on a wild pitch by Sacramento reliever Kyler Newby.

Gregorio Petit led the Padres at the plate with a 3-for-4 effort.
