A five-run outburst with two outs in the fifth inning carried the host Las Vegas 51s to a 11-3 victory over the Tucson Padres on Thursday night.

Wilmer Flores started the scoring for Las Vegas in the fifth with a two-run homer that was followed by a solo shot by Zach Lutz. Jamie Hoffmann later doubled to drive in two more runs.

Flores went 4 for 5 with two homers and four RBIs. He scored twice.

Hoffman was 3 for 4 for Las Vegas. He drove in three runs and scored once.

Tucson starter Anthony Bass gave up four homers and seven runs over five innings. He struck out five and walked one.

Yonder Alonso led the Padres offensively with a 2-for-3 performance, and Chris Robinson went 2 for 4. and scored twice.
