A season-high 21 hits, seven of them doubles, gave the Tucson Padres a 14-1 victory over the host Colorado Springs Sky Sox on Sunday.

Catcher Rene Rivera led Tucson with 4 hits in 5 at-bats. Rivera drove in two runs and scored twice.

First baseman Cody Decker, shortstop Dean Anna and second baseman Jonathan Galvez all went 3 for 5. Decker and Galvez each had two doubles and Anna had one.

The Padres sent 10 batters to the plate in the ninth inning to score five runs.

Five Tucson pitchers kept the Sky Sox in check by scattering eight hits. Reliever Jorge Reyes (5-3) picked up the win, pitching 1 2/3 innings. He struck out two but surrendered five hits and one run.
