The Tucson Padres picked up their third straight victory and eliminated Salt Lake from playoff contention Wednesday with a 6-4 win over the host Bees.

The Padres are on a six-game road win streak dating back to August 19.

Tucson jumped ahead in the opening inning with three runs and never trailed. Andy Parrino and Sawyer Carroll had RBI singles in the inning.

Blake Tekotte led off the second inning with his eighth home run of the season over the right-field wall to give Tucson a 4-1 lead.

Thad Weber won his first game with Tucson, going 5 1/3 innings, yielding eight hits and four runs.
