Daniel Robertson had a pair of two-out RBI singles, and three Tucson pitchers combined on a shutout in the Padres' 6-1 win over the host Las Vegas 51s in the opening game of a doubleheader sweep Friday night.

Tucson won the second game 5-4 in eight innings.

Tyson Ross (1-0), Brad Boxberger and Colt Hynes limited Las Vegas to four hits and two walks while striking out four in the opener.

Robertson singled in Jonathan Galvez in the second inning to give the Padres (53-44) a 1-0 lead. In the fourth inning, Robertson singled in Ben Francisco to make it 2-0.

In Friday's nightcap, Francisco scored on a fielder's choice ground ball by Galvez in the eighth inning.
