Mike Jacobs, Juan Rivera and Alfredo Marte each drove in two runs as the host Reno Aces defeated the Tucson Padres 7-3 on Saturday night.

Marte doubled in two runs in the first inning to give the Aces the lead.

Padres starter Wilfredo Boscan left after two innings. He allowed four hits and two runs in the Padres' first game of a 12-game road trip.

Tucson responded with two in the fourth to tie it before Rivera's single off Jorge Reyes (4-3) plated a pair to reinstate the lead.

Jacobs then doubled in two more to make it 6-2 after seven innings.

Both teams scored single runs in the eighth.

Reno starter Michael Bolsinger (2-2) lasted seven innings, allowing six hits and two runs while walking one and striking out six.

Inside pitch

• San Diego promoted pitcher Brad Boxberger from Tucson and optioned outfielder Jaff Decker to Tucson.
