Tucson 7, Colorado Springs 3

• Highlight: With Tucson clinging to a 4-3 lead, pinch hitter Cody Decker opened the game up for the Padres (10-12) with a two-RBI triple in the bottom of the seventh. The win over the division-leading Sky Sox (12-8) broke a three-game slide for Tucson as the bullpen shut down Colorado Springs, allowing just three hits in 3 2/3 scoreless innings to close it out in front of 4,157 at Kino Stadium. The Sky Sox's Ben Paulsen had a leadoff single in the ninth, but reliever Brad Boxberger got a double play and a strikeout to end the game.

• Big number: 12 hits. Even though the score didn't indicate it for most the night, the Padres managed 12 hits, twice as many as Colorado Springs. Center fielder Daniel Robertson and shortstop Gregorio Petit combined to go 6 for 8 at the plate.

• Today's starters: RHP Thad Weber (2-0, 0.82 ERA), Tucson, vs. RHP Chris Volstad (0-0, 6.75 ERA), Colorado Springs.
