Tucson 6, Round Rock 5 (10 innings)

• Highlight: First baseman Cody Decker saved the Padres in extra innings, launching a triple to center field and scoring the winning run on a wild pitch to secure Tucson's fourth straight win. The Padres were leading 5-2 entering the ninth inning, until reliever Brian Boxberger allowed three earned runs on three hits and one walk to let Round Rock tie the game. The triple marked Decker's first of the season, and it was his third extra base hit of the year.

• Big Number: 3. Entering the game, third baseman Jesus Merchan had eight hits in 57 at bats. But against the Express, Merchan had his best game of the season. He went 3 for 3 with a double and a run, and bumped his batting average from .140 to .183.

• Tonight's starters: RHP Wilfredo Boscan (0-1, 3.00 ERA), Tucson, vs. RHP Colby Lewis (0-0, 13.50 ERA), Round Rock.
