It's been one day short of a month since the Arizona Wildcats last won a basketball game.

Maybe Utah can help the Wildcats snap out of their slump. The UA will take on the Utes today in McKale Center mired in one of the program's worst slumps in recent years. Arizona won the team's last meeting on Jan. 18.

The Wildcats (11-13, 3-10) have lost eight straight conference games. The Utes (14-10, 5-8) are coming off a 54-46 upset of Arizona State.

The UA is desperately looking for a victory. Senior Davellyn Whyte was benched in the final minutes of Friday's 55-42 loss to Colorado after failing to get back on defense. Following the game, coach Niya Butts said frustration "got the best" of the Wildcats' star guard. Butts did not make players available to the media.

Today's game kicks off a crucial week for the reeling Cats; the UA will face rival ASU twice in a span of five days - Tuesday and Feb. 24 - as part of "rivalry week."
