The UA women's basketball team will open its final homestand of the season tonight, when it faces USC at McKale Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m.

The Wildcats (12-15 overall, 4-12 Pac-12) are coming off a heartbreaking week, one that included two losses to rival Arizona State. The Sun Devils won in double-overtime at McKale on Feb. 19, then - thanks to a Haley Videckis three-pointer with 22.8 seconds remaining - outlasted the Wildcats on Sunday in Tempe.

Senior Davellyn Whyte combined for 49 points, 28 rebounds and 17 assists in the two games; she was named the Pac-12 Player of the Week on Monday.

USC (8-19, 5-11) is led by junior Cassie Harberts, who averages 17.9 points and 7.9 rebounds per game. The Trojans have lost eight straight games.
