Ka'Deem Carey's court date, originally scheduled for Thursday morning, has been postponed.
It will likely be moved to next week, according to the Tucson Police Department.
The Arizona Wildcats' All-American running back was scheduled to appear in court at 9:30 a.m. Thursday to face charges stemming from a December domestic violence incident involving his pregnant ex-girlfriend.
On Monday, Tucson police decided to file charges against Carey.
The UA athletic department released a statement on Sunday that they are “fully aware of the situation.” The department is not expected to comment again until the case is resolved.
