Matt Scott played just 15 snaps in today’s East-West Shrine Game, but still managed to leave a big mark.
Scott tossed a 57-yard touchdown pass and helped the West beat the East 28-13 in St. Petersburg, Fla.
The Arizona Wildcats quarterback didn’t get a lot of action, but took advantage of the few snaps he was given. Scott completed three of four passes for 81 yards. He also had one rush for five yards.
His touchdown pass went to Mississippi State’s Chad Bumphis.
Scott, who threw for 3,620 yards and 27 touchdowns as a senior, is rated as the ninth best QB prospect in the 2013 NFL Draft by nfldraftscout.com.
Wildcats receiver Dan Buckner, who was also on the West, didn’t have any catches in the win.
Arizona center Kyle Quinn played in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl in Carson, Calif. Quinn played left guard for the National team.
Taimi Tutogi was scheduled to play in the game, but was not on the final roster.
