The Davonte Neal saga continues.

Neal has left Chaparral High School and enrolled at Central, according to this report from Richard Obert at The Arizona Republic. Chaparral officials would say only that "it's a personal thing," according to Obert's report.

Neal, the state's best high school football player, chose Notre Dame over offers from Arizona, Arkansas and North Carolina a week ago. The decision came following a dramatic morning: Neal failed to show at a 9 a.m. news conference to announce his college choice, leaving 600 kids at his former elementary school waiting. At issue, reportedly, was a dispute between Neal and his father, Luke, over which school to attend.

Neal made his decision four hours later, choosing the Irish over the UA. He signed a national letter of intent, and is scheduled to enroll at Notre Dame this summer.
