A few (small) notes in the middle of an otherwise-slow week. But don't worry — spring ball is just a month away!

The Arizona Wildcats formally announced their coaching staff changes today (here's a link to the news release). Seth Littrell and Bill Bedenbaugh will be co-offensive coordinators, will Frank Scelfo coaching quarterbacks. Scelfo's last name is pronounced SELL-foe, for those of you who — like me — may actually want to talk about the guy without sounding bad. Tuesday's news confirms what Mike Stoops first told me on Thursday night — here's a link to that story.

"You always want to promote from within, to give guys an opportunity to move forward," Stoops said then. "We've come to this conclusion. Both guys have great knowledge of our system and have been in the system for a long time. We want to keep things as close to normal as we can."

Scelfo comes from Louisiana Tech, where he served as offensive coordinator before Sonny Dykes was hired as the Bulldogs' head coach.

More on Dykes: LaTech's new coach announced his own staff changes on Monday, announcing that two coaches — Scelfo and another assistant — would not be returning and Rob Likens would be joining the staff.

The Bulldogs are still looking for an offensive coordinator; Arizona assistants Dave Nichol and Garret Chachere could both be considered.

Still waiting for Daxx Garman? You're just 51 weeks away.
