First Round, Game 3

Oregon 88, Oregon State 74

POG: Oregon guard Joseph Young. Young finished the regular season on a bittersweet note, scoring just eight points against Arizona, albeit in a 64-57 win. That dud followed 12 straight games in double-figures, and he delivered again for the Ducks on Wednesday. Young had 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting to lead Oregon.

LOG: Entire Oregon State bench. The Beavers hot start dwindled in a hurry, just about when any reserve went into the game. OSU's bench was outscored by Oregon's, 46-6.

Pivotal moment: Raise your hand if you expected Oregon State to jump to a 15-5 lead over the scorching Ducks less than seven minutes into the game. Raise your hand if you expected Oregon to storm back to tie it less than four minutes later. A big dunk by Elgin Cook with 8:12 left put the Ducks up 19-18 and they'd be ahead 29-20 before the Beavers could blink.

Won or Lost? This game was won by Oregon on the strength of its fantastic offense. After a lackadaisical start, the Ducks responded, shooting a phenomenal 80 percent in the second half.
