Ironwood Ridge outfielder Devin Harrison has committed to Cal State Northridge.
Harrison was a three-year starter for the Nighthawks and helped the Nighthawks get to the state playoffs all three seasons.
His best season came his senior year when he batted .481 and drove in a team-high 53 runs with 11 doubles, six triples and five home runs. I-Ridge also made it to the Division II state semifinals and Harrison was named first-team All-Southern Arizona by the Star.
CSUN competes in the Big West conference and is coming off a 31-26 season. The Matadors also recently named former San Francisco assistant Greg Moore at their new coach.
By committing to CSUN, Harrison became the third local senior this year to be headed for a Division I school. Tucson High's Alex Robles will play at Austin Peay while Salpointe Catholic's Michael Hoard will play the UA.
