When Mike Lee took the court this season, he didn’t have any sort of target on his back.

But after going 14-0 as a freshman and winning the Division II state title, he has become the one to beat.

However, he’s not the only one. Salpointe Catholic freshman Yash Parikh was also considered for player of the year after he finished third in the Division I state tournament with his only loss coming in the semifinals against Phoenix Brophy’s Hudson Blake, who went on to win the state championship.

Lee and Parikh didn’t face off in the regular season because Parikh was injured when the Falcons and Lancers played but the future certainly looks like it will be interesting with both players around for the next three years.
