Salpointe Catholic’s Yash Parikh went 22-0 as a sophomore and could very well be considered the best high school player in all of Arizona.

Parikh cruised his way to winning the Division II singles title and helped Salpointe Catholc reach the state final for the second straight season.

No one else in Southern Arizona had Parikh’s résumé, making him an easy pick for Player of the Year.

Catalina Foothills duo Quinn Gardner Nate Rassmusen were the Division II doubles state champions and helped the Falcons capture the team crown and were also considered for the honor but if was hard to look past Parikh after such a dominant season.
