The Week 6 AIA "seedings" came out Monday. We'll check in each week with how teams from Southern Arizona are standing.

In Division I, Sierra Vista Buena is the highest ranked local team, sitting at No. 13. Sunnyside, after posting a 42-13 win over Pueblo, is one spot behind the Colts at No. 14.

Both teams would qualify for the postseason if it began today. Tucson High meanwhile, after losing to Buena, is No. 22.

In Division II, Ironwood Ridge leads the way for local teams at No. 2. The Nighthawks, of course, knocked off Tempe Marcos de Niza in Week 5 and will now face No. 1 Peoria Centennial on Friday.

Salpointe Catholic is also in the top five at No. 4. Mountain View, after pulling a 21-19 upset of Cienega, is sitting at No. 7. Cienega (9), Rincon/University (12) and Sahuaro (16) would all be in the playoffs at this point.

Southern Arizona has three teams in the top 10 in Division III led by No. 2 Sabino. The Sabercats are followed by Sahuarita (6) and Nogales (8).

The seedings will be released each week on Monday.
