Salpointe Catholic is undefeated through eight games and appears to have the inside track to the Division II state finals.

The Lancers also have star recievers Cameron Denson and Kaelin Deboskie who have both committed to the Arizona Wildcats.

If it all goes as planned, the dynamic duo won't have to wait until next season to take the field at Arizona Stadium.

The Arizona Interscholastic Association announced late Thursday night that the UA will host the Division II and Division III state title games on Nov. 29. Division III will be played at 1 p.m. and Division II is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

There will be two unified sports flag football games played between the two championship games.

The last time there was a state final played at the UA, Canyon del Oro and future Wildcats running back Ka'Deem Carey rolled past Sabino 40-0 to complete a 14-0 season.

The Lancers have many similarities to that team and could be well on its way to doing the same.
