Battle-tested Salpointe Catholic will play its third game of the young season tonight when it hosts Tucson High at 7 p.m.

The Lancers are ranked No. 1 in the Daily Star Top 7 after beating Scottsdale Chaparral 27-20 last week. Coach Dennis Bene's squad has played two tough games already this season against Crespi (Calif.) and Chaparral.

Now, Salpointe gets Tucson. The Badgers won their opener last week against Pueblo and would love to pull the upset tonight. Tucson is No. 5 in the Top 7 and 8-4 since coach Justin Argraves took over.

Junior quarterback Donovan Moore threw for five touchdowns in Tucson's opener and had 173 yards of total offense. He'll be a key tonight against the Lancers as will his left tackle, Antonio Rosales, who is headed to San Diego State next year. The more time Moore has, the better for the Lancers.
