Former Sabino and Santa Rita coach Jeff Scurran will be named the head coach of Catalina Foothills Friday night at a parent-player meeting at the school.

Scurran confirmed he will be accepting the job pending school board approval, which should come during the day Friday.

Scurran last coached in 2009 when he led Santa Rita to the 4A-II state championship game. He won three state titles at Sabino before he coached Santa Rita.

The coach also served as the head man at Pima Community College and is a member of the Pima County Sports Hall of Fame.
