Thursday's Division II state semifinal soccer match between two Southern Arizona's girls team will remain at Paradise Valley High School in Phoenix and will not be move to a neutral site in Tucson.

Arizona Interscholastic Association director of business media Brian Bolitho said today that, because of the scheduled live broadcasts on AIA365.com and the NFHS Network, the location for semifinal and final matches cannot be changed.

That means top-seeded Catalina Foothills and No. 5 Sahuaro will have to travel roughly two hours each way Thursday when they meet for the sixth time in the last two seasons. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

The winner will face either No. 2 Buckeye Verrado or No. 6 Flagstaff in Saturday morning's state championship match at Gilbert Campo Verde.

In state tournament action today, Amphitheater's boys team will try to reach the Division III state final when it plays No. 13 Phoenix Northwest Christian at Phoenix Arcadia at 7 p.m.

The ninth-seeded Panthers knocked off top-seeded Palo Verde in penalty kicks on Saturday to reach the semifinals for the first time since the 2009-10 season.
