One of the top rivalries in Southern Arizona boys soccer resumes tonight.

Catalina Foothills and Salpointe Catholic will hook up at 5 p.m., at Salpointe in the championship game of the Brandon Bean Kickoff Classic. Foothills and Sahuaro will follow at 7 p.m., in the girls title game.

The boys title game should be a great one. Foothills won a state title in 2011 and Salpointe answered last season with a championship of its own.

The two powerhouses met three times last season and the Lancers won two of the three. All three games were decided by two or fewer goals.

Salpointe has marched through the tournament with a 6-0 mark. Foothills comes in at 4-0-1. The Lancers are the defending Brandon Bean champions. They beat Douglas in the championship game last season.

On the girls side, Foothills will try to beat Sahuaro for the second time this tournament. The Falcons beat the Cougars 5-1 on the first day of play last week.

Foothills beat Ironwood Ridge 5-0 in the semifinals. Sahuaro beat Tucson 2-0 to set up the matchup with the Falcons.

Check Tuesday's Daily Star for coverage of both championship games.
