Southern Arizona has crowned multiple state champions so far today during "Super Saturday" featuring the state cross country and swim meets, along with the Division II volleyball semifinals and the Division IV soccer title games.

In cross country, Salpointe Catholic's Andy Trouard and Pusch Ridge Christian's Kyle Cajero won individual state titles. Trouard won in Division II and Cajero took home the Division IV crown.

The Rio Rico boys won the team title in Division III. Rincon/University's Ryan Silva took second in Division I.

There was not a team or individual winner on the girls side. Pusch Ridge's Sarah Macdonald was the closest in Division IV.

In swimming, the Salpointe girls won the team title in Division II and the boys finished second. The Division I meet is taking place right now.

The Ironwood Ridge girls volleyball team lost in the semifinals of the Division II state tournament to Flagstaff in straight sets. The loss ended the Nighthawks season.

The Desert Christian boys and girls soccer teams lost in the finals of the Division IV state tournament. Both teams lost to Lakeside Blue Ridge.
