The Chicago Cubs will play the Los Angeles Dodgers March 21 at Kino Stadium, with proceeds benefiting the Christina-Taylor Green Memorial Foundation. The date and 1:05 p.m. first pitch time were announced during a news conference today at the stadium.

In addition, the Arizona Diamondbacks and San Diego Padres have agreed to play a spring training game in Tucson, with proceeds benefiting the foundation. The date and start time for that game will be announced sometime in the next week.

Tickets to the Cubs-Dodgers game will go on sale starting Feb. 9. Tucson Padres season ticket holders and voucher plan holders can buy their tickets a week before the general public.

All four participating teams are special to Tucson, and the Green family. John Green, Christina-Taylor Green’s father, is a national crosschecker for the Dodgers. His father, Dallas Green, was once the general manager for the Cubs. The Diamondbacks long held spring trainings in Tucson before moving their operations to the Phoenix area. The Padres’ triple-A affiliate, the Tucson Padres, will play at Kino Stadium again this spring.
