Incoming Arizona Wildcats freshman wing Stanley Johnson and 2015 UA commit Tyler Dorsey have been invited to the USA Basketball U18 training camp next month.

UA coach Sean Miller is scheduled to be an assistant for the U18 team, which will play in the 2014 FIBA Americas U18 Championship later in June. Florida's Billy Donovan is the head coach.

Johnson is nearly certain to make the team, having already played for two USA teams that won gold medals, while the experience could be significant for Dorsey. USA Basketball invited 21 players to camp and will keep 12 for the tournament team.

So Craig Robinson is out at Oregon State and, not surprisingly, Damon Stoudamire's name is already strongly believed to be in the mix for the Beavers' next coach.

Stoudamire, of course, is a Portland native (he even has the city's area code in his Twitter handle) who played for the Trail Blazers, made almost $100 million playing in the NBA (what recruits really like to hear about these days) and played under Lute Olson and Gregg Popovich, among others.

He served as an assistant coach at Memphis under Josh Pastner for two seasons and joined UA last spring to replace James Whitford.

John Canzano says OSU athletic director Bob De Carolis knew he couldn't keep Robinson any longer.

Things are also a little busy down the road in Eugene, where Dominic Artis may be on the way out. The Ducks are keeping Artis, Damyean Dotson and Brandon Austin out of basketball activities.

Arizona athletic director Greg Byrne escaped his usual whirlwind workload for a week and celebrated his 20th anniversary with his wife, Regina, by... going to Paris. Byrne posted this discreet hint of his trip last week, then confirmed it today.

"We had a great time," he said.

Seth Greenberg says T.J. McConnell is among the nation's best passers.

Draft Express says Spencer Dinwiddie could be a steal for somebody if he falls to the second round of the NBA draft.
