Today wasn't the best day to arrive in Chicago, where pro basketball hopefuls such as Nick Johnson were trying to fly in for the NBA combine.
WOW. On the plane, half way to chicago and they tell me we have to go back to SF cause a fire in chi control tower. lol so now what???— Nick Johnson (@Air_Zona13) May 13, 2014
While Johnson flew back to San Francisco, Aaron Gordon's mother, Shelly Davis, said her son was also trying to get to Chicago -- but she had no idea as of this afternoon where exactly he was.
"It's like 'Where's Waldo?' " she said.
Johnson has been training in the Bay area while Gordon has been in Santa Barbara, with a quick stop back in Tucson this weekend to clear out his gear.
Both Jahii Carson and Jordan Bachynski of ASU are hoping to show some things at the combine this week.
Ernie Kent pulled in his third recruit at Washington State.
