According to Phoenix-area basketball organizer Chad Groth, walk-on freshman forward Eric Conklin of Scottsdale will transfer from the Arizona Wildcats.

Groth tweeted that Conklin is open to other schools and said tonight that Conklin told him he had decided he wanted to play on a regular basis at another school. Groth said Conklin is good enough to play for a low- or mid-level Division I school.

"He had sniffs from a lot of Division I schools" out of high school, Groth said.

Conklin played 17 total minutes over seven games for Arizona last season, but excelled academically. Conklin had a 4.0 GPA, according to Groth, who ran several events that Conklin played in during his years at Chaparral High School in Scottsdale.

Conklin said last year that he chose UA because he was a longtime fan of the program and intended to pursue a pre-med course of study and later become an orthopedic surgeon.

ESPN's Chad Ford says Aaron Gordon would be a great fit for the Celtics.

Ernie Kent reportedly pulled in a former travel-ball teammate of Que Johnson.
