Just two days after fellow Chicagoan Jahlil Okafor eliminated the Arizona Wildcats from his recruitment, Cliff Alexander appeared to do the same.

Neither move was a surprise. Alexander visited Arizona the weekend of Sept. 13 but has been widely expected to go elsewhere. He said in a July interview in Las Vegas that he had developed good relationships with UA assistant coach Book Richardson and head coach Sean Miller, though Richardson is now on leave because of an unspecified health-related issue.

Off topic for hoops but definitely worth noting if you haven't heard: UA says baseball coach Andy Lopez' heart surgery went well.
