With each passing day, the likelihood of Arizona and Eloy Vargas winding up together appears slimmer.

Rivals' Jerry Meyer said Vargas missed his flight to Seattle but still has Arizona, Seattle and Kentucky as finalists. http://twitter.com/E_Vargas30/statuses/13832652702" target= "_blank">Vargas said on Twitter that he felt "hella sick," though he and traveling-team coach Kenny Gillion have been unreachable.

Vargas' planned visit to UA this weekend has been indefinitely postponed.

Often, an ever-changing recruitment suggests there are different agendas holding things up.

Emmanuel Negedu's difficult journey through college basketball continues. The Knoxville News Sentinel quotes a source saying http://www.govolsxtra.com/news/2010/may/11/new-mexico-latest-check-negedu/" target="_blank">UA and Oregon are among the schools inquiring about the Nigerian big man, the onetime UA signee who went to Tennessee but has been kept from finishing his career there because of cardiac issues.

(However, I've been told UA is not recruiting him.)

Negedu has been seeking to find a school that will let him play, and Indiana has turned him down. New Mexico is his latest stop, the News Sentinel said.

Ted Miller speculates on how the http://espn.go.com/blog/pac10/post/_/id/9886/big-ten-expansion-then-what-for-pac-10" target="_self">expansion dominoes could fall if the Big Ten makes its expected move.

While it is still possible the Pac-10 chases Utah and Colorado, it sounds like staying put with an expanded relationship with the Big 12 (i.e. sharing a television network) is perhaps more likely.
