Former Arizona Wildcat player Corey Williams has landed a regular Sunday night gig doing Pac-12 games for ESPNU.

Williams lost his regular analyst position for many UA games last season, when the Pac-12 took over all locally produced games, but has bounced back by getting work with Fox and ESPN networks.

Williams did mostly Pac-12 and WCC games last season and will have more with the Pac-12 this season. Arizona’s regular-season home finale on March 2 with Stanford is scheduled to be carried by ESPNU.

“Like my agent says, you try to get in there with different networks and get a home,” Williams said. “Like Miles (Simon) has a deal with ESPN – he’s all set and that’s the goal. So I was happy with last year and I’m very happy with this year.”

Williams said the scheduling works well with his job in Tucson selling mostly group insurance with Crest Insurance, though he often finds himself popping open his iPad and working on the road when he’s not at the arena.

“As soon as I check in to the hotel, I’m working until it’s game time,” Williams said.

Oregon's Dominic Artis and Ben Carter have been suspended for selling team gear. They won't go to South Korea for the Ducks' opener with Georgetown, but their return has not been set.

More coaches are expressing concern about the potential for heavy fouling with the new rules this season. But Utah's Larry Krystkowiak says the Utes will adjust.

Tad Boyle wishes he could offer scholarship money from the departed Chris Jenkins to one of his walk-ons but NCAA rules won't let him.

USC has some new basketball mascots.

Former UA forward Sidiki Johnson apparently has given up on the idea of college basketball and headed to Belgium. He played 10 games for Providence last season before heading for a junior college.

Lots of humorous insight in Jay Bilas' "preseason opus."

Cal Poly has posted its official game notes for Friday.
