Maybe the draft stock of Arizona Wildcats forward Grant Jerrett doesn't look so bad, after all.

Jerrett was one of 61 players invited to the NBA's predraft combine in Chicago next week. He will be joined by former teammate Solomon Hill, though Mark Lyons was not invited.

Since the draft has only 60 spots, and there are international prospects that don't attend the combine, not being invited is a bad sign for players who hope to be drafted -- though players who participated in Portsmouth such as Lyons are often not invited because they have already been seen and measured.

Jerrett, of course, will get more chances to prove himself via individual workouts.

Kevin Parrom, who was not invited to Chicago or Portsmouth, is looking at a big picture this week.

Both Parrom and walk-on guard Quinton Crawford are expected to walk through graduation ceremonies. Solomon Hill is not expected to attend -- he is training in Los Angeles -- while walk-on forward Max Wiepking is scheduled to graduate in December.

Graduate transfers such as Lyons and those with family issues might all have to sit out a redshirt season, if many coaches have their way.

Yahoo! says Angelo Chol might make a bigger impact at San Diego State than his UA numbers suggest.

Las Vegas Review-Journal columnist Ed Graney, who called Jim Livengood "arguably the finest AD in the program's history," says the departing UNLV athletic director lost a battle with UNLV president Neal Smatresk.
