Onetime Top 50 big man Michael Chandler may suddenly be on the Arizona Wildcats' recruiting radar.

Chandler, who has committed to Louisville, Xavier and Central Florida, is back on the market after playing at Northwest Florida State last season. According to, the 6-10, 245-pound Chandler will visit Arizona and Oregon this month and make a decision by October.

While Chandler's name has not previously surfaced among UA targets, it isn't a surprise that the Wildcats are pursuing more big men. They are aiming to sign five or six players total in the 2014 class, have no low-post players on board yet, and still don't know if Kansas transfer Zach Peters will be medically cleared and able to play this season (or what his long-term future is).

UA's commits so far in the 2014 class are point guard Parker Jackson-Cartwright and forward Craig Victor.
